Biometrics Using Internal Body Parts: Knobbly Knees
Forget digital fingerprints, iris recognition and voice identification, the next big thing in biometrics could be your knobbly knees. Just as a fingerprints and other body parts are unique to us as individuals and so can be used to prove who we are, so too are our kneecaps.
The approach based on MRI could be used to quickly register and identify people in a moving queue as they approach passport control at airports for instance or as they walk through the entrance to an office block or other building.

Theme Parks Requires No INVESTIGATIONS After Accidents, It Requires Proper INSPECTIONS Before !
Most visitors to theme park were unaware of the accident as the park
authorities hushed it up by shutting the adventure ride. The recent
victim, a flight attendant, was residing with her friend, also a flight
attendant, and two others, in a rented house. They all together visited a
theme park on Chennai-Bangalore National Highway.
They were
enjoying the day. They have taken the Car riding were it had individual
seating cars with safety rods in front. As it was in motion there was
sudden violent jerk. One among them fall out of her car 10 ft below. The
operator fled his cabin when he saw the girl falling. She got badly hit
on the back of her head by a car behind her. The cars were running at
full speed and her friends who did not take the ride and were watching,
pulled her out after a 10-minute struggle. She rushed to the nearby
Hospital in Tiruverkadu where doctors pronounced her as 'brought dead'.
It suggests "Theme Parks requires no Investigations after accidents, it requires proper Inspections before".
Still,
when an event does occur, it's often because the rider has taken a risk
by, say, not remaining seated or because the rider has a pre-existing
medical condition. Negligence on the part of the park, either by ride
operators or by ride safety inspections should be strictly monitored to
avoid such accidents i.e Lack of proper maintenance and services by the
engineers in the particular assert leads to this horrible scenario.
"Safety is not their Theme at these parks, but named as Theme Parks".
If
this continues, people will stop going. But, Technology now comes up
with features providing more safe and secure world to entertain with.
Inttelix provides Biometrics Based Solutions to avoid these terrible
accidents by monitoring the Service engineer's inspection on the
particular assert, periodically and the reports generated by them.
The
hand-held device enrolled with the particular service engineer's
Fingerprint and the exact location (based on latitude and longitude) of
the asserts under his control, will be provided by the Admin everyday.
Once the engineer visited that location and inspected the particular
machine or motor, pumps. Lights, the admin can get the reports about the
same with Fingerprint Verified. So that, whole system will be monitored
and maintained periodically with regular inspection and services.
Obviously, accidents due to any mechanism failure can be avoided.

Have Biometrics to Save Country
The
Ministry of Home Affairs of India is incorporating biometrics into
the Immigration,
Visa and Foreigners’ Registration and Tracking system (IVFRT),
an INR 10.1 billion (US$184.7 million) project launched in 2010 to
develop and implement a secure and integrated service delivery system
that would facilitate legitimate travellers while strengthening
security of the nation.
The
current update in progress is the incorporation of biometrics into
the IVFRT. “Some people come into the country on different
passports with different visas”. The reliance on information such
as name and birthdate for authentication makes it easier for people
to use fake identities.
Last
month, the NIC signed an agreement with the Electronics Corporation
of India Ltd (ECIL), a government of India enterprise that develops
various products for government needs such as defence,
telecommunications, police or power. ECIL will provide infrastructure
to enable the government to capture and store fingerprints of foreign
visitors and Indian visa applicants.
SECURITY LIES IN THE TECHNOLOGY USING... |
“The system will compare fingerprints to the all previous records stored in the database”. “If the biometrics match any other record, an alert will be sent to the concerned agency to verify the identity of the person”.
The
biometric system has been implemented in Indian embassies in ten
countries. Expansion work is under-way to include immigration
check-points at airports in India as well as more embassies abroad.

FACE, Open Password But Cannot Be Accessed By Others..
Facial
recognition
is a type of
biometric
software application that can identify a specific individual in a
digital image by analysing and comparing patterns. Using the human
face as a key to security, biometric face recognition technology
has received significant attention in the past several years due to
its potential for a wide variety of applications.
Currently,
a lot of facial recognition development is focused on smart
phone
applications. Smart-phone facial recognition capacities include image
tagging and other social
networking
integration
purposes as well as personalized marketing. A research team at
Carnegie Mellon has developed a proof-of-concept iPhone app that can
take a picture of an individual and -- within seconds -- return the
individual's name, date of birth and social security number.
Facebook
uses facial recognition software to help automate user tagging in
photographs. Here’s how facial recognition works in Facebook: Each
time an individual is tagged in a photograph, the software
application stores information about that person’s facial
characteristics. When enough data has been collected about a person
to identify them, the system uses that information to identify the
same face in different photographs, and will subsequently suggest
tagging those pictures with that person’s name.
Facial
recognition software also enhances marketing personalization.
For example, billboards have been developed with integrated software
that identifies the gender, ethnicity and approximate age of passers-by to deliver targeted advertising.

Student Verification System
The rapid growth of online
examinations using Internet-based assessment tools has continued. The
inability to control a student’s environment while taking exams has
been a major challenge for higher education. A clear correlation
exists between an increase in the number of acts of dishonesty and
the failure of institutions offering courses to monitor and enforce
policies on cheating.
The current technology,
biometric systems can be used in remote proctoring systems to verify
and monitor students taking online exams. Provides solutions by
integrating facial recognition software, video surveillance systems
and computer restriction software into a system which supports the
integrity and quality of online assessment.
Some examples of online exam
cheating may include:
- Having someone other than the enrolled student taking an exam
- Copying and collaborating with others during an exam
- Accessing to materials that are not allowed, such as textbooks and web resources.
Technology has progressed to
the point that biometric systems, such as facial recognition,
fingerprint, and eye scanning, have been implemented successfully in
many organizations and processes. Authentication system using server
technology with biometric systems and video surveillance system, has
gained popularity in monitoring activities in small businesses, big
corporations, government, households, municipalities and educational
institutions.

GPS based Intelligent (Inttelix) Vehicle Tracking System (IVTS)
Intelligent Vehicle Tracking System are
used for the purpose of tracking and navigation of vehicles.
In the present fast moving life, transportation is among the most
common and frequent needs. With the technological advancement in the
transportation sciences, the need of secure, dynamic and highly
efficient system is felt.
One of the major benefits of vehicle
tracking is that your fleet can be monitored in real time.
This means that all movement can be traced and tracked as it occurs.
The speed at which your vehicles are travelling can be monitored, as
well as the number of stops the driver makes to rest or refuel.
Customers using logistics management
companies that have installed vehicle tracking devices into their
vehicles can be kept up to date on the progress of their goods from
one place to another. Delays can be addressed and managed and arrival
times can be estimated correctly.
Should there be some sort of
emergency en route, the benefit of vehicle tracking is that
authorities located close to where the vehicle is travelling can be
informed in good time to aid and perhaps save the situation as well
as the customers goods.
Potential thieves are also deterred
if a vehicle has a tracking system installed as the vehicle can
easily be located through the tracking system if it is stolen. Engine idling reports enable decreasing
idle times for fuel efficiency.
Implementation of GPS in vehicles can
certainly bring a revolutionary impact in transportation science. A
rial ion wide integrated business plan for including auto-mobile
companies and GPS system providers is desired to bring this
revolution.

INTTELIX provides you the INTELLIGENT Security Solutions
The
most popular biometric authentication schemes employed for the last
few years has been fingerprint
technology.
The main applications are entry control, ATMs and Government
programs. Recently companies have realized the advantages of facial
biometric authentication for networks and offer products to achieve
this scheme.
WHY
should go for Facial Biometrics??
Non-Contact
Process
One
of the top benefits of using bio metric face
recognition
over other forms of biometric technology is that this type of
biometrics offers a non-contact process. This science makes it easy
to capture information from people with biometrics facial technology,
since images of the person’s face can easily be captured, instead
of requiring a person to offer their fingerprint or asking them to
submit to iris scanning, or retinal scanning. For many purposes, such
as crime deterrent or security purposes, the ability to collect
biometric facial information without the subject knowing it is
extremely important.
Fast
and Accurate Results
When using biometric face recognition systems, users are able to enjoy high recognition rates and short processing times, making these systems an effective option. Most biometric systems also provide the ability to recognize someones face regardless of facial changes, which may include a different expression.

Systems
also can accurately recognize your face even if your face is captured
from a different vantage point. This advance in facial
biometric has made this type of biometrics more user friendly than before.
Reliable Matching
Biometric
face identification software can easily be integrated in to various
types of video monitoring systems and various video and graphic formats
are supported as well. Most face recognition systems can also be easily
adapted to work with existing biometric IT systems that companies are
using.
